Today was snowshoe day. We started out early by walking with Benny along the Salt Lick Trail. It was snowing lightly all day. In fact, the snow was very wet. Going out with Benny is very hard. He doesn't want to stay on the trail, he has to mark his spot every 2 minutes and he doesn't like wearing his snow shoes. After an hour and half we brought Benny home and did our own thing.
We went to the town of Frisco which has a trail through the National Forest. It is a beautiful but narrow trail along side a stream that comes down from the top of the mountain. The trail is UP for the first mile then it is flattens out for the next 1/2 mile. Between the 2 trails we snow shooed about 6 miles.
At the end of the day, after going to the 5pm Polish mass at the local church, we went back to Frisco for the annual town bonfire. The whole town came out for it (about 30 people). The bonfire is sponsored by the Summit Nordic Ski club.
Can I cross the stream? Now that I crossed the stream, I may have to return.

Too bad you not in jersey, there is plenty of snow. Some places got 20 inches. It missed New York so only 3 hours over time for me. Are Benny's snow shoes just booties or are they actually snow shoes?
